Cancellation policy

Refundable rates

Most rooms on StayNYC Manhattan are sold at a refundable rate. You can cancel for a full refund up to 48 hours before your check-in date (local hotel time). Cancellations made after that point are non-refundable.

Non-refundable rates

Some rooms are sold at a discounted, non-refundable rate. These bookings cannot be cancelled for a refund once payment is processed — please choose this rate only if you are certain of your plans.

If something exceptional comes up (medical emergency, bereavement, force majeure), contact us and we will do what we can with the hotel directly.

How refunds are issued

Refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe. They typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.

Emergencies and special situations

If you need to cancel for a medical emergency, bereavement, or other extenuating circumstance, please contact us. We'll work with the hotel to find a solution where we can.

Changes (rather than cancellation)

Need to change dates or guest details? Manage your booking or contact us. Date changes are subject to availability and may be subject to a rate difference.

Force majeure

In the event of a natural disaster, government travel ban, or other event preventing your stay, we will refund regardless of rate type.
